Our business has recently introduced various health initiatives to help improve employee well-being. Walking with others is considered a great form of low-impact exercise that anyone with a good general level of health can undertake. Recent guidelines for walking activity levels are that we should all aim to take 10,000 steps a day.
With this in mind, and as many of us spend a large part of our day sitting at our desks, the Social Committee have decided to organise an after-work walking club. The plan is to meet outside the office once every other week and walk a selection of local routes – perhaps even following with a well-deserved post-walk meal. Routes, days and times will all be arranged by the committee and posted on our internal news board at the beginning of each month. All you will need to do is put your trainers on and turn up. Please get in touch if you wish to take part and have specific mobility needs you want to discuss.
